    trails for days....

A friend and I have been cutting trees and moving rocks up in Dry Hollow the last few weekends. So hopefully I can talk a few of you guys into coming up one Saturday for a ride. I'm not gonna say we have real hard stuff, but," If you're looking for it, trouble does seem to find you", haha....

    Re: trails for days....

Jared and I are gonna cut some more trails on his Grandfathers land. We have one dry creek bed that runs up a hill, (I know you're thinking well if Jack can do it with a IFS how hard can it be)  wellll We have bypasses and some of the climbs I have to winch up.

The Hickory Flatt trail system has parts that  are up on the crest of a ridge and with that last wind storm, I want to run them with a chainsaw so we won't be wasteing time the day of the run.

Can't we just decide which weekend say by Wednesday of the week before we go . just so we'll avoid some misserable weather ?

Can we get a width of the widest rig, so I can open up narrow spots. And will those that go be willing to drive on a county road? and if so for how far, I belive the little store down by the highway will let you park trails and its like 4 or 5 miles to trailhead. Either that or you'll have to drive trailer down a narrow gravel road with a drop off on one side.

Sounds good Jack. A few of us have chainsaws so no problem there. I'd say around 90" wide should get even my piggish fullsize Ford through.

    Re: trails for days....

Cool I have Tuesdays off so I'm gonna hit the trail. I know there are a couple trees down. There is this one section that connects two trails. It runs along side a patch  pines that got hit with that bug. the ATVs go around, thru the hard wood trees, but i think the pine logs are rotten enough that I should be able to cut thru like a hot knife thru butter...or a knife thru hot butter....or well you know what I'm saying.
