Re: New ORV Area Between Sparta and Cookeville

The bounty hill is ridiculously steep...

Just a little running and these trails should open up nicely!

With a place this close to home, it may get some of y'all that don't get to ride much back on the trails!    :-D

I'm planning on going to check it out again next weekend

I'm coming over from the TNVJC club website, we saw this park and wanted to know if there's anything we can do as a club to help get this place ready

Welcome to our board! The best thing to do would be to contact Jimmy directly, his contact info is in the first post.

This could be the understatement off the year.  I wouldn't even call it a hill.  INSANE!  I couldn't even get up the riff-raf filter at the bottom.

I dont know what just happened but this posted like 5 times.  ??

We need to do a club work weekend up there soon (and take some steaks).

Re: New ORV Area Between Sparta and Cookeville

A friend sent me a link to this post.  I've been out of wheelin for a couple of years, but will probably be getting back into it in the next year.  This place sounds like it has great potential especially for families.  Although I don't have a Jeep currently, I'd be willing to provide some elbow grease if needed to help get this place going.  We can probably get together a chain saw, pressure washer, etc.  Keep me posted if ya'll plan to work for a weekend or need some help.  We're in Nashville.  Keep the pics coming.

So I take it that the reserved ride means no one else is allowed on the trail system on Saturday the 31st. Is that indeed the case? Was hoping to come down with a few friends to check the place out.

If you'll go checkout the OHVTN site you can get a pass they just want those that come that weekend to have some degree of commitment to the cause of expanding OHV in Tn.....I plan on coming to the park Sunday to do the trail repair exercise.
