    Feb Jam Info.

Figured I'd start a Gen. Discussion thread to keep up with the Jam planning.

We gotta get: Hotdogs, burgers, buns

    Details on drink wagon?

    Do we have enough chili?

    Re: Feb Jam Info.

Roller and I have talked and got some prices on the meats, he is checking 1 more place to see where we can get the best price. I have a question, we can get the Dr Pepper trailer for 10 cases of drinks, the trailer will hold about 3 people inside it. We can get Coke brand drinks cheaper than what they have quoted us, but we would not have the trailer and would have to use our tent. I can also get the ice cheaper, or about the same price. Do we just want to spend the extra to get the trailer, or just use our tent and get drinks else where? The price I can get them for is $11 for 2 twentyfour packs verses the $9 something for a a case of Dr Pepper. I will need to know this week as they are a special this week only. I would rather use the tent and make as much as possible, but need the input from everyone. Roller said he did not care either. As for the chili, I think that we have only 1 can left if that, as it was used at Dixie. We will need to get some chili as well unless the weather is very warm. That will be a judgement call a few days before. hate to get it and it be 70 degrees. This is the amounts of what we are looking at

    100 hot dogs

    150 hamburgers

    5 gallons of chili

    200 bags of chips

    200 drinks

plus buns, plates, spoons, bowls, ketchup, mustard, mayo, crackers, and cheese.

Anything else or amounts of stuff needed, please post or call Roller or myself

here is suggested pricing, let us know if think it should be something else

    hotdog  $2

    hamburger  $3

    Chili $2

    Chili dog $3

    Chips $1

    Drinks $1

    Chris

    Re: Feb Jam Info.

That all sounds fine to me, Chris - but you guys that have done this a few times know better than I do for sure.  It sounds like we'd be better off without the trailer - what will we NOT have by skipping the trailer and just using our tent?

Let's also set up a schedule (Presidente Nick, would you like to do the honors?) so one person doesn't get stuck setting up, working all day long, and tearing down (Chris Roller).  From the meeting I have the following people committed to work so far:

    Nick Cooper
    Matt Stennett
    James Brewster
    John Lowery
    Chris Roller
    Chris Knox (maybe)
Scott Correll (maybe - Chris Knox volunteered you!)

Anybody else chime in if you're coming and can work.  What time do we need to be there to set up?  What time will we "open" for business and start selling?  What time will we close up shop and start tearing down?

    Re: Feb Jam Info.

I'll be there first thing in the morning. Didn't we get there around 8am last year?? I think we started selling food around 10-11am last year..

I'll volunteer to work a few hours "first shift". I'd like to get some trail riding in that day too. Maybe we can get a group together to hit the "long trail" around the top of the mountian.

Gabe is coming too as of right now, and also volunteered for the first shift.

Didn't some people camp down there last year? I'm thinking about making a weekend out of it.

As far as drinks go, I say we use our tent and get the Coke products cheaper.

I think we should go ahead and pick up at least a can or two of chili.

If anyone needs me to pick up anything or bring anything in particular, let me know.

    Re: Feb Jam Info.

What time should I report in, Nick - what's the schedule?

I can print 11" x 17" here at work if we need some "menu" signs.  What else do we need?

    Re: Feb Jam Info.

When do the people who are bringing the supplies plan to be there? I think around 9ish to set up and start cooking/selling between 10:30-11. As far as an actual "schedule" people will just have to volunteer when we all get there, i'm not going to delegate times to specific people. I plan to ride most of that afternoon though, and will help break down and pack up.

Good idea chris. Do you need some help? who has the tent? I've got to work till 4:30 on Friday and have plans that night, but I can probably make time to run down there if you need me too.
