    Overhead Console

I took Roger and Nick's advice and found a Panasonic CD player/stereo to try this time (I hope you guys are right!).  I've managed to destroy two CD players so far with water and dust in the stock location. I'm not sure if something is leaking onto them or my blower is just circulating dust around so much it screws things up. For CD player #3 I decided to mount it up top, on the cage. It started as just a stereo mount, but I ended up adding a locking console, a dome light to match the ones in the overhead speakers I installed at the same time, a single master switch to controll all three dome lights, and an "extra" switch for later use.

It's all done with 16ga steel and I formed it with a hammer, c-clamps, and some heavier steel to bend around. My 4" angle grinder and 110V welder finished the job up quite nicely!

Didn't you flop on the last ride?? I think a LOWER center of gravity is what ya should be going for! :-P

I hope I don't bash my head on that thing in Tellico, but the 3.5 hour ride down there will be much more enjoyable blasting Monster Magnet or Pantera! (i hope that thing plays mp3s)

You know - I don't know if it plays MP3's or not.  It does have a jack on the front if you have an Ipod or something.  Otherwise, I'll pack a few good CD's and you can bring anything you want to hear but that cursed Nickleback CD (I don't want to pull a "Roger") - it'll be a big METALFEST!!!!!!!

BTW - you wouldn't bash your head if you were of the "correct" height.  I'm not sure if my seats will slide back far enough for you to be comfortable driving either, but we'll give it a shot.  Sometimes it's good to be short!

I've still got two more seats open if you don't mind being crammed in the back!  :-)
